Google acquires mobile advertising company AdMob
Google announced the acquisition of the firm AdMob, specialized in mobile advertising, by 750 million dolars. A deal that strengthens the Internet search engine positioning in this sector.
The company said the acquisition "will lead to more innovation and competition" in the mobile advertising market, a sector that experts expect hog 0.4% of total ad spending this year.
Google, meanwhile, expects that the number of Internet searches made through mobile phones, will grow rapidly in coming years.
