The alternative to the iPad
While the world debates whether the new Apple iPad is a completely revolutionary device or simply an "iPod Touch on steroids", alternative products begin to appear. One of the most interesting is the iFreeTablet, a Spanish project based entirely on free software that promises to do everything the iPad does and for far less money. This tablet is a result of more than 20 years of research by the EATC Group at the University of Cordoba, and society will be presented on 4 February. It will cost about 350 euros, and it could be stockpiled.
