Testimonial by Yukon Huang, Senior Advisor and Former Director, World Bank China Program

“The Future Trends Forum of the Bankinter Foundation of Innovation is unique in its desire to identify and explore in-depth factors which are likely to affect the course of social and economic development in a globalized world, bearing in mind implications for the Spanish economy.

In not overly restricting the nature of the topics, the Foundations allows its membership to range more widely than might be expected and thus provides participants and Bankinter to think "outside of the box".  This provides a valuable and "efficient" process for the Foundation and its sponsors to keep abreast of evolving trends and in due course to assess its implications for the country and business more generally.

By bringing together experts from various disciplines but under a common theme, the Foundation is able to integrate across a wider spectrum of views. This exposes participants to a knowledge base which normally would be hard to tap without considerable time and efforts. The learning process is exceptional and by provoking debate forces everyone to rethink their views.

The FTF forum is differentiated by the self-selection of topics among members, the format which brings together various interested parties and a structure which both allows wide ranging debate but also encourages a consensus.”
