Sheila A. Stamps is an SEC defined financial expert with diverse experience advising on financial and operational requirements of companies in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors.
Sheila is a Board member of IQVIA Holdings Inc. (a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry), Pitney Bowes Inc. (a technology company providing commerce solutions in the areas of ecommerce fulfillment, shipping, and mailing services), and MFA Financial Inc. (a residential mortgage REIT). Sheila’s prior Board experience includes Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. (a global air cargo company), CIT Group Inc./CIT Bank N.A. (a bank holding company), Forest Road Acquisition Corp. (a special purpose acquisition company), and Commissioner of the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF).
Her senior level operating roles combine both private sector experience and public service. She most recently served as Executive Vice President of DBI, LLC (a private mortgage company), and as Portfolio Manager and Advisor to the Controller of the State of New York for the NYS Common Retirement Fund during 2008-2011. Sheila’s leadership roles in the banking industry include Managing Director and Group Head, Financial Institutions at Bank of America and, prior thereto, Managing Director, Asset Backed Securitization and Executive Management Committee Member at Bank One London (now, JP Morgan).
Sheila earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BS in Management Sciences from Duke University. She also completed a Fellowship at Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. Sheila has been recognized as a 2022 NACD Directorship 100 by the National Association of Corporate Directors, as a “Director to Watch 2022” by Directors and Boards Magazine, as one of “2021 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors” by Savoy Magazine, and “2019 Most Influential Corporate Directors” by WomenInc Magazine.
