Carlos Abellán

Carlos Abellán is co-founder and CEO of Quside, a Barcelona-based quantum technology startup focused on creating products to address the global challenges of cybersecurity and computational efficiency. He graduated as a telecommunications engineer from the UPC (Barcelona) and later completed his doctoral studies at the ICFO. He is co-inventor of more than 5 patent families, as well as co-author of more than 10 high-impact publications. To date, Carlos has founded two technology companies, which have attracted early-stage private investment internationally. He has also received several awards, including the MIT Innovators Under 35 Europe 2018, the Pioneer Award of the Generalitat de Catalunya or the Ehrenfest Award for the best paper.
