
Conrad Wolfram: “If we teach as if computers didn’t exist, we are failing”

His laboratory is focused in leveraging new gene editing technologies for therapeutic purposes. Their two main lines of research are mammalian genome engineering and skin microbiome engineering. They recently launched Integra Therapeutics to combine the power of CRISPR technologies and transposasses for efficient gene writing of mammalian genomes. He received the National Research Prize to the Young talent (2018), named highly cited researcher (2019), elected EMBO Young Investigator (2020) and received the August Pi i Sunyer award (2021).
