Mavi Sanchez-Vives

ICREA Research Professor at the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS) in Barcelona, where she leads the systems neuroscience group. With a degree in medicine and a PhD in neuroscience, she is a researcher and member of the scientific council of the Human Brain Project. She has been a pioneer in the use of virtual reality in the field of neuroscience and in particular in the study of body representation in the brain. She is also an expert in medical applications of virtual reality.
