Frenetic, a startup that is based on Artificial Intelligence

AI-generated summary

Frenetic is a startup specializing in software powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) that optimizes the design and production of magnetic components such as transformers and inductors. By leveraging AI, their technology precisely customizes designs based on material characteristics, standardizing manufacturing and eliminating the need for manual design. This innovation results in a 30% reduction in manufacturing costs and accelerates production timelines to about one week with nearly 98% reliability. Frenetic’s tailored solutions serve clients in over 14 countries, including major companies like Airbus, Texas Instruments, Huawei, and Indra, as well as partnerships with manufacturers such as Ferroxcube.

Founded by Chema Molina, a PhD industrial engineer, and Alfonso Martínez, an award-winning engineer and CTO, Frenetic aims to revolutionize magnetic element production through AI. Molina emphasizes the importance of creativity, risk-taking, and feedback in entrepreneurship, especially in Spain. Looking ahead, the company plans to extend its AI optimization to all components of chargers, further enhancing efficiency and performance. Frenetic’s approach not only cuts costs but also standardizes and speeds up manufacturing, marking a significant advancement in industrial magnetic device production.

Frenetic is a startup that helps build industrial magnetic elements such as transformers and inductors, and is supported by artificial intelligence

Frenetic has developed software that uses Artificial Intelligence that learns to optimize the design and production of magnetic elements. With this learning, the design of transformers and inductors is very precise. They do this by optimizing the options of each case according to the characteristics of the materials and using Artificial Intelligence, which standardizes the manufacture of the magnetic elements that make it up. This prevents magnetic components from being designed manually. It saves 30% of the manufacturing cost of magnetics.

This startup works for other companies, they manufacture components that adapt to the needs of each of their customers. Designing them automatically for each need. They have customers in more than 14 countries and as important as Airbus, Texas Instruments, Huawei or Indra, as well as international partners in the market with manufacturers such as Ferroxcube. A company that is booming, as its CEO and founder, Chema Molina , explains in this interview.

“Our next challenge is to solve all the components of these chargers with artificial intelligence, to optimize the entire charger.”

Interview with Chema Molina, CEO of Frenetic

Chema Molina decided to launch himself into the world of entrepreneurship after finishing his studies. “In Spain, people who want to start a business have to take more risks. People are very creative and have a lot of ideas, but they see a lot of barriers that can be overcome. There is funding and you can dedicate all your time. You don’t have to be afraid to tell what you want to do. The most important thing to check if your idea makes sense is to tell someone. You have to receive a lot of feedback.”

Those in charge of developing this idea have been the previously named Chema Molina, PhD in industrial engineering from the UPM, and Alfonso Martínez, also an industrial engineer from the UPM and winner of the ETSII award for the best engineer, now CEO and CTO, respectively. Through artificial intelligence, they managed to optimize the design and production of magnetic devices. With which the construction of industrial magnetic elements, such as transformers and inductors, can be standardised and the process reduced to one week, with a reliability close to 98%, and significant savings.
