Andy G. Sellars

CORNERSTONE is the UK’s open-access silicon photonics foundry, based at the Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton. Andy has over 25 years’ experience in photonics and semiconductor technology, focusing on scalable, cost-effective silicon photonics for telecom, datacom and quantum applications. He founded the Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult, securing £54m of UK Government investment, and sits on key UK and international semiconductor advisory bodies. Andy holds an Executive MBA from Glasgow University and a doctorate from Strathclyde University.
