Rodrigo Ledesma-Amaro
Leading the intersection of biological engineering and sustainability at Imperial College London, he directs high-impact initiatives such as the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein and the Microbial Food Hub. His work focuses on redesigning microorganisms to transform sustainable raw materials into foods, pharmaceuticals, and biofuels. With over 200 publications and a career spanning elite institutions in Japan, Sweden, and France, he combines his academic leadership with consultancy and the direction of the Fungal Science Network.
