Christine is a leader in higher education, a board member and patron in various organizations, a scientist, engineer, professor, academic, and entrepreneur. He has more than 200 academic publications, has supervised the research projects of more than 100 students from 10 different academic disciplines, and has received 30 national and international honors, including the President’s Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor given by the U.S. to scientists who are in the earliest stages of their careers as researchers.
She is the founder of a new non-profit higher education institution, Station1 (www.station1.org), which is blazing a trail of opportunity through a new model of research and learning: socially-guided science and technology. With more than 25 years of experience in higher education, she has led inter-institutional initiatives in global education, technology-based learning, intersectoral and multidisciplinary education and collaboration in research, social entrepreneurship, diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as pedagogical innovations.
