Jerry Brito

Jerry Brito is the Executive Director of Coin Center, a think tank focused on the public policy issues facing cryptocurrency technologies like Bitcoin. When he’s not advocating for free speech and privacy, he writes a weekly newsletter on the geopolitics of money.

He has testified several times before Congress about cryptocurrencies and regularly holds briefings for policymakers.

Brito has presented cryptocurrencies at the White House, the Treasury Department, the State Department, the SEC, and the CFTC. His academic research has been published in the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy and Stanford Technology Law Review, among other outlets, and his articles have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and other outlets.

Brito was also named one of Washington’s Top 100 Tech Leaders by Washingtonian magazine and on the POLITICO 50 list of “D.C. influencers.”
