John Hoffman
John Hoffman
John is an executive with extensive experience in the mobile phone industry in all facets of the industry. John is currently the CEO of GSMA, the subsidiary of the GSM Association that organizes the Congresses.
Previously, Hoffman was President and CEO of Roamware Inc., a provider of value-added telecommunications solutions for wireless carriers. He has also been a member of the board of directors of Roamware.
Between 1997 and 2002, Hoffman worked at the GSM Association as Senior Advisory Director, responsible for numerous GSMA initiatives. Hoffman has collaborated with the GSM Association as the author of the Wireless Evolution Newsletter and represented the GSM Association as a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars.
Hoffman has held a variety of senior positions in the telecommunications industry throughout his career, including Regional Director for Central and North Florida at BellSouth Mobility, General Manager of Operation for SONOFON in Denmark, Director of BellSouth International in Brussels, Belgium, Managing Director of BellSouth Mobility DCS in Charlotte, and General Manager of Operations for Pocket Communications in Washington, D.C. DC. John is a member of the board of advisors for Megisto Incorporated.
Hoffman holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. He is a Chartered Architect in the State of Colorado and is a prominent speaker.
