Michael Lopez-Alegria

Michael Lopez-Alegria has more than three decades of experience in the U.S. Navy and NASA. NASA highlights his missions of the space shuttle STS-73, STS-92, STS-113, being the commander of the international space station during expedition 14. It holds the record for EVA activities, with 10 spacewalks and the most accumulated time outside the station with 67 hours and 40 minutes. (EVA is extravehicular activities, i.e., spacewalks.)

Since 2014 he has been president of MLA Space, from where he works as an independent consultant to traditional and commercial spaceflight companies.
