John Lyons

John began his career in communications services and security intelligence operations in 1973, followed by 20 years of service in the Royal Air Force.

In the private sector, he held senior positions in security technology for Unisys, such as Unilever and Johnson Johnson.

In 2002, he became the UK Crime Reduction Coordinator in the first law enforcement unit against organised crime on the internet. He established the UK’s first national public-private sector programme to raise awareness of cybersecurity: “GetSafeOnline.org”.

In 2010, he founded the International Cyber Security Protection Alliance (ICSPA). He is the founder and CEO of Cyber Essentials Direct Ltd, the creators of The Cyber Highway, a new and unique secure online solution that enables businesses and organizations of any size to achieve a foundation of good cybersecurity, according to the UK.
