Marc Manzano leads the quantum security group at SandboxAQ. His current research interests include post-quantum cryptography and fully homomorphic encryption. He has presented more than 25 papers at international conferences, published more than ten articles in journals, and collaborated on several scientific books related to cryptography and computer network security. Over the past ten years, Dr. Manzano has led the development of numerous secure cryptographic libraries and protocols. Previously, Dr. Manzano was a Senior Software Engineer at Google and, prior to that, Vice President of the Cryptography Research Center at the Institute for Technological Innovation, a scientific research center based in the United Arab Emirates. Prior to that, he held various positions where he was responsible for the implementation of fundamental cryptographic components of various secure communication products, including an electronic voting platform. Dr. Manzano holds a PhD in Computer Network Security, a degree he obtained under the supervision of the University of Girona (Spain) and Kansas State University (United States). He has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Girona (Spain), while doing research stays at UC3M (Spain) and DTU (Denmark). He began his research career while completing his degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Strathclyde (UK).
