Marc Mathieu leads strategic customer transformation and innovation at Salesforce. Previously, he was Marketing Director for SAMSUNG Electronics USA. He has held various leadership positions in the marketing divisions of Fortune 100 and global companies such as Coca-Cola or Unilever.
Marc is a veteran in the world of marketing with a proven track record of success. Appointed CMO of Samsung Electronics America in 2015, he leads not only the marketing efforts of Samsung’s brands in the US, but also the company’s Global Marketing Center for Excellence.
Before joining Samsung, Marc was Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Unilever. There he was responsible for developing Unilever’s global marketing strategy “Crafting Brands for Life,” an initiative to build brands with a purpose that enhances the lives of the people they serve.
Prior to Unilever, Marc was Senior Vice President of Global Brand Marketing at Coca-Cola, where he was credited with turning Coca-Cola’s course with the “Open Happiness” strategy and the global “Coke Side of Life” campaign. He also launched Coke Zero in 50 markets and developed the company’s “Live Positively” sustainability platform.
Marc left Coca-Cola in 2008 and founded the strategic brand consultancy, BeDo, which worked to build purposeful brands and merge marketing and sustainability agendas. He sits on the Advisory Panel for the Guardian Digital and Media network and writes for Marketing Week magazine. He is a regular lecturer and speaker on topics such as the future of marketing.
