Sara Eckhouse

Sara Eckhouse is the Executive Director of FoodShot Global, whose mission is to empower bold ideas and innovative companies to accelerate the transformation towards a healthy, sustainable and equitable food system.

Previously, she was a senior advisor to Secretary Tom Vilsack at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she focused on local and regional food systems, organic agriculture, and access to healthy food.

Sara launched and managed programs to support sustainable agriculture, and knows first-hand the opportunities and challenges of combining sustainability with profitability in food value chains.
