Soumitra Dutta

Soumitra is former Dean of and Professor at the Said Business School and the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. He is a global authority on innovation in the knowledge economy. He co-edited influential reports such as the Global Information Technology Report (World Economic Forum) and the Global Innovation Index (World Intellectual Property Organization). A seasoned entrepreneur, he co-founded several firms, including Nexi Media, Igesia and Fisheye Analytics (acquired by WPP). With a background in electrical engineering and computer science and a PhD from UC Berkeley, he has received multiple recognitions, including the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and has been a long-standing invitee to the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos.
