The President of Board of Directors of Management Centre Türkiye, Alper Utku, believes that working is an irrevocable part of a balanced life, and it has to be fun. Therefore, he equally enjoys working, and spending time by himself, and with his wife, and two girls. Finding it pleasant to be in nature, Utku is interested in running, hiking, kayaking, and sailing. One of his most recent challenges has seen him crossing the Atlantic Ocean in 20 days. He enjoys reading books on history, religion, philosophy, and business.
Alper Utku values a sense of leadership that is based on inspiration and guidance, instead of chain of command hierarchy. Parallel to this, he prefers the cooperative style of management where employees are perceived as mature individuals who will contribute to the business. He has a firm belief that businesses can grow only through humans, and humans thrive with business. Alper Utku believes in a paperless office system where statuses are insignificant, and where there is equality of opportunity. He does not have a room, secretary, or a driver of his own.
Alper Utku regularly tries to put forward the philosophy that relationships that are based on serving our customers, employees, teammates, and suppliers to help them better their lives will benefit us all. His mission in life is to ensure positive change in the world by supporting the corporations’ change.
Alper Utku has graduated from Boğazici University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1991, and currently he is finalizing his doctorate in Organizational Consultancy at Ashridge/Middlesex University. Utku speaks Turkish, English, and French
