Bernat Soria, Director of the Stem Cell Department at the Andalusian Centre for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine. Bernat Soria Escoms (Carlet, Valencia, on May 7, 1951) is a scientist and Spanish politician, Deputy for Alicante between March 2008 and October 2009, and Minister of health between July 2007 and April 2009. Born in Carlet, is Doctor in medicine from the University of Valencia. He was coordinator of the area of Physiology (3B) of the national agency of evaluation and foresight (ANEP) between 1991 and 1994. He was also Coordinator of the European network of cells mother embryonic, as well as Professor of Physiology of the University Pablo de Olavide and director of the Andalusian Centre of Molecular Biology and regenerative medicine (CABIMER) of Seville. In 2005 he received the prestigious Prix Galien to the best research work. He has published many articles in such important international journals such as: Diabetes, and Steroids. Minister of health between July 2007 and April 2009.
