Christopher Markou researches the impact of technology on the legal system, and he writes, speaks, and advises on diverse technology issues.

His Leverhulme Trust research project “Artificial Intelligence and Legal Evolution” examines how AI and digital technologies are changing the nature of legal practice, education, and challenging the normative foundations and autonomy of law.

His forthcoming book Lex Ex Machina explores the limit’s of law’s computability and how the ‘rule of law’ is being subverted by a new ‘rule of technology’.
