Emily Green is the Chairman of the Board of Yankee Group Research, Inc., a storied technology research firm that for over 40 years has guided a global clientele through profound connectivity change. In this role she helps guide the firm’s direction, speaks to the market and works with key clients. From 2005 to 2010 she was the firm’s CEO, partnering in its acquisition with primary investor Alta Communications and leading its transition to the global connectivity research vision it calls Anywhere.
In her long and varied career in technology as an engineer, entrepreneur, marketer and analyst, she has become widely respected as a thought leader on the impact of connectivity on networks, enterprises and consumers.
Emily was granted a B.S.L. cum laude in linguistics from Georgetown University and an M.S.E. in artificial intelligence and computer graphics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Moore School of Engineering.
She also currently serves as the vice-chair of the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX), the U.S.’s largest Internet advocacy council, as a member of the Executive Committee of the John Adams Innovation Institute, and as a member of the governor’s Mass Tech Hub Collaborative, for which she chairs the communications working group.
ANYWHERE, her book on the business impact of global connectivity, was published in January 2010 by McGraw-Hill.
