Fernando Casado Cañeque is masters degree in economics and a journalist associated with global development issues. He has worked as a consultant for various international organizations including the United Nations Program for Environment (UNEP), the Division of Social and Economic Affairs (UNDESA), the World Bank, the United Nations Industrial Development (UNIDO) and the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP) and also as a senior consultant in the department of sustainable development and social responsibility of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in New York. It has produced reports for the Global Compact on sustainability and social impact of the automotive industry in India, evaluated CSR policy of SMEs globally, developed comparative analyzes of public-private partnerships of type II presented at the Summit Johannesburg, and collaborated on various reports for UNIDO, including the report Industrialization, Environment and MDGs in sub-Saharan Africa. He is the author of several articles on economic development, globalization and sustainability; and producer of a documentary on access to primary education in rural areas of Honduras.
He has a doctorate from the University of Barcelona in Economics and Social Sciences, a Masters from the University of Columbia in New York specializing in Development Economics and Journalism graduate and environmental management through the Institute for Public Economics at the University from Barcelona.
