Dr. Paul Flora is Research Professor of Biological Research Center (Madrid), the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). Group addresses Growth Factors in Vertebrate Development he created in 1991. He graduated (with Honours) and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Salamanca and a Diploma in Psychology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca. He worked for nine years in the National Institutes of Health (NIH, Bethesda, USA) and a sabbatical at the Institute Caltech (Caltech, Pasadena, USA). His field of specialization is biology cellular and molecular developmental and his work focuses on gene regulation, recipients and the actions of embryonic insulin. He has received awards "Pharmacia / SEEN" the endocrinological research, "Serono / SEEN" to Basic research work and the "Carmen de Burgos" award feminist disclosure. It is founder and president of the Association of Women Researchers and Technologists (AMIT).
