Jeremy Myerson

Director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre and Professor of Design Studies in Royal College of Art

Jeremy Myerson is professor of design studies at the Royal College of Art, London, where he is director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre and leads the Innovation RCA network for business. As a journalist and editor, he worked on titles including Design, Creative Review and World Architecture. In 1986 he was founding editor of Design Week, the world's first weekly newsmagazine for designers and their clients, and in 1999 he joined the Royal College of Art to set up the RCA's Helen Hamlyn Centre, which focuses on people-centred innovation and design for ageing populations.  He is the author of many books, including The 21st Century Office, New Workplace New Culture, IDEO: Masters of Innovation, and Rewind: Forty Years of Design and Advertising. He has consulted internationally with business on design, communication and product development projects, and recently played a lead role in setting up a multidisciplinary innovation centre with Imperial College London entitled Design London.
