Meteorologist in Weather Action
Piers Corbyn, Weather Action London, is an astrophysicist and the architect of the ‘Solar Weather Technique’ revolutionary long range weather forecasting system which uses predictable aspects of particle and magnetic effects from the Sun to make reliable detailed forecasts up to 12 months ahead.
His researches led him to become a strong ‘sceptic’ of current climate change and concludes that this is primarily driven by solar activity and other factors outside man’s control and that the current obsession with man-made CO2 is groundless dogma. Public concerns, he says, should be more focused on long term supply and new forms of energy.
Mr Corbyn wrote his first scientific papers while still at school and won a Royal Scholarship to Imperial College London where he obtained a First Class degree in Physics. He later studied Astrophysics at Queen Mary College London and did research into the mean matter density of the Universe and galaxy formation. He subsequently developed his Solar Weather Technique from long studies of solar activity and weather.
