Among the bets, Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands out clearly as the origin of a new stage in technological development.
The consulting firm Gartner has gone ahead and predicted in a report what, in its opinion, will be the most strategic technological trends for next year. Among the bets, Artificial Intelligence (AI) clearly stands out as the origin of a new stage in technological development that companies and institutions must undertake in order not to miss the opportunities of this new revolution.
The ten 2019 technology trends that Gartner advances in its study are:
1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence will enable the automation of tasks and the interaction between objects and people. Robots, drones, vehicles and other types of devices will operate autonomously (IoT);
2. Machine learning
Analytics based on machine learning, which will make it easier for companies to dig deeper into things like data quality.
3. New phases of Artificial Intelligence
4. Simulators
They will allow new possibilities to be explored in the transit of cities as intelligent and collaborative systems.
5. Empowered Edge
Empowered Edge is a technology that will make it easier to place a multitude of devices closer to the sources of information in order to reduce latency in the processes. This is one of the challenges that has always been associated with the evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT).
6. Augmented Reality
Augmented reality and immersive processes to improve the user experience, something that is essential for companies.
7. Blockchain
Blockchain or block technology will begin to consolidate itself next year as a ledger technology. We will see the emergence of more applications of Blockchain in the financial sector, but also in the realm of public institutions and governments.
8. Smart Spaces
Smart spaces that use this technology and put it at the service of users. One of the most representative examples in this regard are Smart Cities.
You can learn more about smart cities in the “Disruptive Cities” report by the Future Trends Forum, the think tank of the Bankinter Innovation Foundation.
9. Digital ethics and privacy
Digital ethics and privacy as bastions of technological development. Personal data and privacy are a great asset for users, so companies and governments have to be strict in complying with legislation in this field;
10. Quantum Computing
Quantum computing will offer possibilities never imagined until now.
