In particular, he is a world leader in the development of transcranial magnetic stimulation in the field of cognitive neuroscience and for therapeutic applications in Neurology, Psychiatry, and Neurorehabilitation. His research projects aim to understand the mechanisms that control brain plasticity throughout life in order to modify them and achieve the subject’s optimal behavioral outcome.
