{"id":12547,"date":"2019-11-11T16:47:00","date_gmt":"2019-11-11T15:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fundacionbankinter.org\/noticias\/impacto-de-la-ia-en-el-comportamiento\/"},"modified":"2025-12-01T23:36:03","modified_gmt":"2025-12-01T22:36:03","slug":"impacto-de-la-ia-en-el-comportamiento","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/www.fundacionbankinter.org\/en\/news\/impacto-de-la-ia-en-el-comportamiento\/","title":{"rendered":"Impact of AI on Behavior"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The use of this technology might significantly increase its level of influence on users and its behaviour.<strong>\u00a0Artificial intelligence is one of the technologies that can increase its influence through greater personalization.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Artificial intelligence designs and implements systems with human characteristics: appearance, voice or behavior (trying to replicate humans), and people could feel that the app, assistant, robot or program with which they are talking is something more than an artificial intelligence device.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In order t<strong>o prevent artificial intelligence from manipulating human behavior<\/strong>&nbsp;and impacting society, we must preserve:&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Lack of user-device symmetry<\/strong>, this means, the user needs to have all available information.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Transparency<\/strong>&nbsp;or honesty regarding the technology\u2019s behavior.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&#8211; Surveillance of the technology to avoid the Big Brother effect.<br>&nbsp;&#8211;<strong>&nbsp;Ensured authenticity<\/strong>&nbsp;in two senses of the term: one, respect and preservation of our image; and two, misinformation, particularly regarding fake news.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Artificial Intelligence Ethics<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conference by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionbankinter.org\/en\/experts\/fiona-j-mcevoy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Fiona McEvoy<\/strong><\/a> , Founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/youthedata.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">YouTheData.com<\/a>, at the XXXII meeting of the Future Trends Forum on Intelligence Artificial<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u00c9tica de la Inteligencia Artificial | Fiona McEvoy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UBCcDNg9-fc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the FTF meeting, Fiona was the representative of the ethical and social context aspects of Artificial Intelligence, identifying as a key point to gain consumer confidence in emerging new technologies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Artificial intelligence is one of the technologies that most potentially influence our behavior.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":5583,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_oaas_summary":"Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to significantly increase its influence on users by offering greater personalization and mimicking human characteristics such as appearance, voice, and behavior.
