Basic services offered by laaS providers such as Azure include storage, servers, networking, and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Examples:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalocean.com\/\">DigitalOcean<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linode.com\/\">Linode<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rackspace.com\/\">Rackspace<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/\">Amazon Web Services (AWS),<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisco.com\/c\/en\/us\/products\/cloud-systems-management\/metacloud\/index.html\">Cisco Metacloud<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/\">Microsoft Azure<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.google.com\/compute\/\"> Google Compute Engine (GCE).<\/a> <br><br><strong>Platform as a Service (PaaS):\u00a0<\/strong>In addition to the services offered by laaS, PaaS offers an<strong>\u00a0environment for creating Internet services and applications<\/strong>, from simple applications to complex enterprise computer systems. The PaaS environment features development tools, database management, business intelligence services, and other services frequently used by web and software developers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Examples:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/elasticbeanstalk\/\">AWS Elastic Beanstalk<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/free\/windows-server-on-azure\/\">Windows Azure<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heroku.com\/\">Heroku<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/developer.salesforce.com\/platform\/force.com\">Force.com<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/cloud.google.com\/appengine\/\">Google App Engine<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.openshift.com\/\">OpenShift<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Software as a Service (SaaS):<\/strong>&nbsp;These are&nbsp;<strong>application-level services&nbsp;tailored<\/strong> to business needs.&nbsp;Microsoft Office 365 is a good example of a SaaS service.&nbsp; Other services include email, calendars, web conferencing, or project tracking.
