It means that <g id=\"gid_0\">anything that can be done in computing is moved to the cloud<\/g>, that is, to the network. Services such as storage, applications, or programming tools are offered over the Internet <g id=\"gid_1\">rather than on-premises<\/g>. This implies that computing resources function as another supply.   <\/p>\n<p>The offer of cloud computing or cloud computing is presented in several forms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SaaS or Software as a Service: Software as a<\/strong> Service allows consumers to use <strong>apps on any device<\/strong> <strong>through a subscription<\/strong>. It allows companies to access functionalities at a lower cost, reducing investment in large technological developments. Dropbox is an example of a storage solution.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>IaaS or Infrastructure as a Service<\/strong>: Infrastructure as a Service consists <strong>of outsourcing the machines that process the data.<\/strong> Thanks to cloud computing, it is not necessary for a company to maintain its own data center because it can pay for the consumption it makes. AWS is an example of this solution. <\/li>\n<li><strong>PaaS or Platform as a Service: <\/strong>Platform as a Service offers <strong>the software and tools necessary for the design of applications <\/strong>without the need to have them installed on the user&#8217;s device. Google App Engine is a solution that allows you to create applications based on Python or Java. <\/li>\n<li><strong>PraaS or Process as a Service.<\/strong> According to Accenture, there is a fourth level that is based on the <strong>external management of a specific business process<\/strong>. PayPal is an example of this solution. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What are the advantages of Cloud Computing?<\/h2>\n<p>Thanks to Cloud Computing, companies can<strong> focus on their business and accelerate improvements<\/strong> in their products and services, fostering innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The cloud is especially attractive and indispensable for SMEs or startups because:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>It is a means of not losing competitiveness despite the difficulties of access to capital.<\/li>\n<li>It reduces time-to-market, enabling new services in a matter of hours.<\/li>\n<li>They allow access to economies of scale thanks to the contracting of suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>They enable access to more sophisticated security systems.<\/li>\n<li>They offer specialized user support.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Finally, the biggest revolution that cloud computing has caused is in the design of services and apps, which are increasingly easier to use.<\/p>\n<p>Want to learn more about the cloud?
