Last month, Manuel Marina and Jose Mar\u00eda Lillo visited us to tell us how technology can save lives. They are the co-founders of Idoven<\/a>, a startup for the detection of heart problems <\/strong>that can prevent heart disease, heart attacks and sudden death. <\/p>\n\n

Manuel and Chema told us how technology is the way to make it possible.<\/strong> Through preventive treatment of sudden death, the leading cause of death in the world can be reduced; cardiovascular disease.<\/p>\n\n

Idoven software combines data analysis in the cloud<\/strong> based on artificial intelligence algorithms with the use of wearable technology<\/strong> to analyze long-duration electrocardiograms and classify arrhythmias. The procedure is simple; A study is requested and you are sent a monitoring kit along with a “sports Holter” or “long-lasting Holter” shirt and instructions for use. It is used on a daily basis or when training and is returned. Idoven analyzes the records and makes a highly accurate cardiological diagnosis. <\/p>\n\n

Currently, Idoven has about 200 patients\/month. <\/strong>As clients, they work with more than 20 hospitals or health centers and more than 10 sports teams. Not only have they been able to create a product associated with a service, but they are also being able to distribute it. <\/p>\n\n

The way to measure its impact is through the number of lives saved, reduction in cardiovascular events, scientific publications and cost reduction.<\/p>\n\n
