This is what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionbankinter.org\/en\/our-initiatives\/inspiratech\/\">InspiraTech<\/a> is looking for, the programme promoted by <a href=\"https:\/\/fgcsic.es\/\">the CSIC General Foundation<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionbankinter.org\/en\/\">the Bankinter Innovation Foundation<\/a>, which has already selected the 20 researchers who will take part in its first edition. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection and candidates<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a competitive selection process, where 26 researchers advanced to individual interviews from among all the applications, 20 participants were chosen. The <g id=\"gid_0\">interviews explored their motivations<\/g>, how they see their research transforming into real solutions, and where they envision themselves in the near future. On October 31, the selected ones were announced, marking <strong>the beginning of the first edition of InspiraTech<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These researchers represent a <strong>diverse and committed sample of the Spanish community of young scientists<\/strong>. The group, made up of 13 women and 7 men, comes from different cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia, Cordoba, Malaga, Murcia, Valladolid and Zaragoza. Among them are <g id=\"gid_1\">10 doctors<\/g> who obtained their degree recently, between 2021 and 2024, and another <g id=\"gid_2\">10 are still in the predoctoral stage<\/g>. Many of them work in institutes of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her projects cover a wide range of research areas:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the <strong>agri-food field<\/strong>, they work on improving crops and food properties through biotechnology, contaminant detection and optimization of probiotic bacteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In terms of <strong>sustainability<\/strong>, they address the revaluation of industrial waste by transforming it into biofuels and other high value-added products with applications in sectors such as construction, chemistry, energy or soil remediation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the field of <strong>health<\/strong>, advanced devices are being developed for the detection of infectious diseases, the tumor microenvironment in brain metastases and the development of atherosclerosis in the context of coronary artery disease are being studied.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition, they explore <strong>emerging technologies<\/strong> such as quantum computing, 5G\/6G telepresence in agriculture, artificial intelligence for natural risk management and development of new materials for smart implants and the elimination of microplastics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Entrepreneurial mindset<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are not only scientists of great projection; Many <strong>are already taking steps towards applied innovation<\/strong>. Most of them work closely with companies and show a keen interest in knowledge transfer.   <strong>Four have been recognized in entrepreneurship competitions, and one selected researcher has already founded her own startup.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">InspiraTech will offer them <strong>specialized training and key connections to transform their research into practical and sustainable solutions<\/strong>. The program combines theory and practice through two face-to-face bootcamps and online sessions with innovation experts.
