Cristina Rivero

Cristina has developed her professional career in the field of energy, environment and climate change at the Spanish Electricity Association from 1990 to 2019. At the European level, he has been a representative of the Spanish electricity sector at Eurelectric in working groups related to climate change and environmental policies. At the international level, he has participated in work programs of the International Energy Agency, as well as in Latin American energy and business organizations, CIER and OLADE, always related to environmental and climate policies in the field of energy. Since 2001 (COP6.5) Cristina has been an observer of the private sector in the Conferences of the Parties to the UNFCCC. Currently, she is the director of the department of industry, energy, environment and climate of the CEOE, the Spanish confederation of entrepreneurs and industries. He is a member of the Industrial Affairs Committee of Business Europe, of the European Commission’s Platform for Sustainable Finance with Business Europe and a member of the group of experts appointed by the Spanish Administration to design and survey the Citizens’ Assemblies for climate change.
