According to Eduardo Sicilia, we are living in a challenging situation full of uncertainties, but also full of opportunities.
Last April, Eduardo Sicilia, Director of the Executive MBA at EOI, inaugurated the Business Akademia course at Bankinter with the session “The world to come”. With more than twenty-five years of experience in business management, Eduardo collaborates with the Cre100do program, an initiative of the Bankinter Innovation Foundation together with ICEX and the Círculo de Empresarios to make Spanish companies grow.
That the world is changing at great speed is not news. Sectors such as the press, film, television or music are being overtaken by new disruptive business models that are changing the rules of the game. According to Eduardo, we are living in a challenging situation full of uncertainties, but also full of opportunities.
But are we changing? According to Eduardo, we have an internal rhythm of change, which is sometimes lower than the external rhythm of change. This causes us to become obsolete. What can we do to adapt to change?
- Accept the challenge and see it as an opportunity.
- Learn and train to understand what is happening.
- Question preconceptions.
- Develop new intelligences; social, digital, creative and emotional.
- Have a new mindset hand in hand with innovation and technology.
- Generate ecosystems and relate to other people different from us.
- Experiment and fail, and learn from mistakes.
- Build and support teams.
- Breaking boundaries
- Create a new mental map whose pillars are attitude and new knowledge.
