Jesús Folgueira

He is Senior Manager and Head of Transport and IP Networks at Telefónica Global CTO, leading innovation in optical and IP networks, SDN, 5G evolution, open networking, and quantum communications. With over 25 years of experience, mainly at Telefónica, Jesús has worked on technology evolution, network deployment, and R&D management. He holds Master’s degrees in Telecommunications Engineering and Telecommunication Economics. He has contributed to more than 40 EU-funded projects, one patent, and several publications, and lectures part-time at universities.
