Jim Collins

A part from his role as a Professor, he is Founding Faculty member of the Wyss Institute at Harvard and a pioneer in synthetic biology. His research uses gene network engineering to develop next-generation diagnostics and therapeutics and programmable molecular tools for the life sciences, with technologies licensed by over 40 companies. He has co-founded multiple ventures, including Phare Bio, and is an elected member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
