In this webinar, David Sedlak, a world-renowned expert in water resource management and the author of the concept of the “Fourth Revolution in Water,” will explore how cities can tackle the challenges of climate change, water scarcity, and urban growth through innovative solutions. David Sedlak, the Plato Malozemoff Distinguished Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, focuses his work on developing sustainable and cost-effective methods for local water supply.

His research spans water reuse, urban runoff treatment, and groundwater contamination remediation. Recognized for his contributions, he received the Clarke Prize for Excellence in Water Research in 2014 and was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2016. He also contributes to urban water cycle management through various research initiatives and is the author of Water 4.0 and Water for All, which explore contemporary water issues by examining the history of urban water systems and the adoption of innovative technologies.
