Carlos Abellan is a co-founder and CEO of Quside, a Barcelona-based quantum technology startup focused on building products to address global challenges in cybersecurity and computational efficiency. He graduated as a telecommunications engineer by the UPC (Barcelona) and then carried out his doctoral studies at ICFO. He is coinventor of 5+ patent families as well as coauthor of 10+ high-impact publications. Carlos has founded two technology companies to date, attracting early-stage private investment internationally. He has also received a variety of awards, including the MIT Innovators Under 35 Europe 2018, the Pioneer award by the Catalan government or the Ehrenfest best paper award.
