Antes de unirse a Watson Health, trabajó en la división de investigación de IBM donde dirigió actividades de investigación en las áreas de analytics, care coordination, business process management y service oriented architectures. Es licenciado en Física por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Doctor en Computer Science por Columbia University.
