Biomedical Engineer from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and PhD in Bioengineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA. He has been working at the Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos (Toledo, Spain) since January 2005 and at the Centro Integral de Neurociencias HM CINAC (Madrid, Spain) since November 2014. He has published more than one hundred scientific articles in international journals, is co-inventor in several patents and co-founder of two spinoff companies that develop and commercialize invasive and non-invasive brain stimulation technologies (Newronika, Italy, and Neurek, Spain). In 2009 he received the Olympus Award from the Sociedad Española de Neurociencia (SENC), and he served on the SENC Board of Directors in 2017-2021. He is also an active pianist, with a discography of instrumental tango and free improvisation.
