Group Lead for Fusion Safety and Regulation at Clean Air Task Force. USA

Patrick White heads Clean Air Task Force’s Fusion Energy Safety & Regulation program, spearheading an international push to align licensing, waste and nonproliferation practices for fusion plants. Until 2025 he was Research Director at the Nuclear Innovation Alliance, where he produced risk-informed guidance for advanced fission and fusion, shaped the NRC’s 10 CFR Part 53 rule, and briefed
U.S. Congress and NRC on fusion policy and HALEU supply. He later consulted at MPR Associates. He holds a PhD and M.S. in Nuclear Science & Engineering from MIT and B.S./M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon.
