Stefanie Barz

Is a Professor of quantum information and technologies at the University of Stuttgart and a Director of the Center for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology, IQST. Her research focus is on photonic quantum systems with a particular emphasis on quantum networks, quantum communication, and quantum computing.

From 2014 to 2017, she worked as a Marie-Curie fellow at the University of Oxford and held the Millard-and-Lee-Alexander fellowship at Christ Church College. She obtained her PhD from the University of Vienna, focussing on photonic quantum computing and blind quantum computing, for which she was awarded a number of awards.
